Description & History:
Cambier Park sits on a lovely 12.84 acres, and was named after William Cambier, a town engineer instrumental in development of the City of Naples in 1926. This lovely park is located right in the heart of downtown Naples, just south of the prestigious 5th Avenue South. It is also home to the National Champions – Greater Naples Girls Little League. The Norris Community Center, which opened in March 2004, has an auditorium with stage, 2 meeting rooms, a dance studio, conference room, game room, and art gallery, and an amphitheater. The center offers many cultural and recreation classes including, creative arts, adult dance, acting, languages and martial arts. During holidays there are a variety of camp programs and special performances for families. The center is home to Gulfshore Playhouse and other local theater groups.
